POSTPONED: Authentic Leadership: From Purpose to Impact

**A new date to be announced Spring 2016**
Author Speaker Series

Over the past five years, there’s been an explosion of interest in Authentic Leadership, where executives and others in an organization demonstrate a passion for their purpose and consistently practice their values.  Business experts have made the case that purpose is a key to exceptional performance, while psychologists describe it as the pathway to greater well-being.  A purposeful and authentic approach to leadership is increasingly being touted as the key to navigating today’s increasingly complex, volatile, ambiguous world, where strategy is ever changing and few decisions are obviously right or wrong.

With authentic leadership, the leadership perspective shifts to value ‘we’ over ‘me,’ and purpose over profit, empowering leaders throughout the organization.  The question then becomes how does a leader embrace their own purposeful and authentic leadership, while likewise empowering those around them?

Nick Craig’s upcoming book enables leaders to identify their own unique "True North" through reflection and exercises that target the purpose of their leadership and help them develop authentic leadership skills.  As an authentic leader, they then do a better job of leading and empowering their team.

In this session, Nick will discuss the new book and expand upon the content to not only cover ways for attendees to become Authentic Leaders but also to create conditions for Authentic Leadership to be present in those around them.  In this highly interactive and dynamic session, Nick will:
  • Cover the tenets of Authentic Leadership
  • Help attendees define what “Leading Authentically” looks like in their organization
  • Work with attendees to discover when they are at their best as authentic leaders
  • Show attendees how to create conditions that allow Authentic Leadership to thrive in their organization
