What is the Wharton Hedge Fund Network?
The Wharton Hedge Fund Network (WHFN) was founded in 2005 as an Affinity Group of the Wharton Club of New York (WCNY). The group aims to bring together Wharton alumni active in the greater hedge fund community, which includes professionals working at hedge funds, hedge fund allocators, and dedicated service providers.

Events are by invitation only and limited to Wharton undergraduates and/or Wharton MBA's who are employed in the hedge fund space. For more information on WHFN and past events, please visit the Wharton Hedge Fund Network page.

What is the Next Event?
Our first event of the year and 51st event in WHFN’s history, “Hedge Fund State of the Union,” will feature a panel hosted by several prominent hedge fund industry veterans and moderated by Anurag Bhardwaj of Barclays. The panel will discuss questions such as:
  • Why have HF’s underperformed in 2013 and 2014?
  • Has the HF industry become too big?
  • What repercussions does the industry face from CALPERS’ decision to exit?

Panelists will include:
  • Cedric Fan, Head of Hedge Fund Research, Russell Investments
  • Leslie Lake, Managing Director, Invus Financial Advisors
  • Andy Adams, Managing Director, Investor Relations for Capula Investment US LP
The event will be held Monday, March 30 at a Midtown location. (The exact location will be communicated shortly after signing up.) We will not be able to permit walk-ins, replacements or guests.

The itinerary is:
