$400bn+ in products imported from China are under tariffs; exports to Huawei, SMIC and other Chinese companies with links to the government are restricted; investments in some Chinese securities are banned. What stance will Biden take on those and other policies inherited from the previous administration? What is Biden’s likely vision on the relationship with China? We will discuss with Saad Kamal, a senior policy analyst at Washington Analysis, on the back of his discussions with policy experts in DC and the recent cabinet confirmation hearings.

Saad Kamal is a senior US government policy analyst at Washington Analysis. He covers special situations across sectors covering binary events relating to geo-politics, deals, tax, legal, trade or other regulatory catalysts for Washington Analysis that have a significant investment impact. In this role his coverage encompasses all aspects of US-China relationship from trade to technology restrictions to sanctions and geo-political competition.
