The WCNY CFO Network (WhCFO) invite you to hear from some of the experts that are advising, assisting and/or leading companies through the latest trend in Wall Street.

SPAC stands for “Special Purpose Acquisition Company”. Since the start of 2020, investors have poured more than $130 billion into SPACs, “blank-check companies” traded on an exchange with the goal of merging with a private company to bring it public. It has been a go-to route for many startups, that have been able to raise a lot of capital in one big swoop. It has let amateur investors — long excluded from startup wealth creation—get in on the ground floor of disruptive businesses.

If you are wondering, what exactly this entails and how companies are evaluating the considerations in going public via SPAC, then please join us.
