The Retail Investors Affinity Group (WRIG) invites you to an exciting and informative discussion with Wharton Professor Marius Guenzel.

Professor Guenzel will talk with us about:
  • Attention, stock picking, and effects on stock prices
  • Reference points, gain-loss thinking, and effects on trading
  • Behavioral corporate finance and sunk cost effects in firm decision-making
  • Corporate repairs and how to curb adverse effects of managerial biases
Following Professor Guenzel’s talk, there will be a Q&A session.

About Professor Guenzel
Professor Guenzel joined the Wharton faculty in 2020 and is an Assistant Professor of Finance. His primary research interests are in corporate and behavioral finance. He received his Ph.D. in Finance from UC Berkeley’s Haas School of Business and has published papers on behavioral finance and the life cycle of a CEO’s career, the effect of sunk costs on corporate investments, and CEO stress and aging. He is a referee for the American Economic Review. Knowledge@Wharton recently featured his research on how biases influence CEOs throughout their careers.

The event will be moderated by Peter Manda, the Chair of the Retail Investors Group. Peter has an MA and MGA from Penn and a WPWP degree from Wharton. He received his EMBA from Chicago Booth in 2020 and works as an attorney in New York City.
