The Wharton Investment Resource Exchange (WIRE) angel investing and start-up network at the WCNY is proud to host a series of short webinars in which Wharton-alumni founders of startup companies share their innovative new businesses.

This webinar series gives Wharton alumni founders the opportunity to showcase their companies among the WCNY community, take questions from alumni, and strengthen the network to facilitate potential leads for hires, advisors or investors.

This WCNY startup series talk will feature Diana Ark Chen, Founder & CEO of BUBLUV. Ms. Ark Chen will be interviewed by Jerrod Hill, who is a team member of Amazon Web Service's Venture Capital Business Development group. Questions from the audience are encouraged via the group chat on Zoom throughout the webinar.

About BUBLUV
BUBLUV is a New York based start-up founded in 2019 that crafts a convenient, ready-to-drink healthier alternative to bubble tea* (also known as boba) that has no added sugar, no artificial ingredients, and is less than 50 calories. BUBLUV is looking to launch in Q1 2022 and would love help from the WCNY community sourcing leads for potential investors, hires, and advisors.

BUBLUV’s founder, Diana Ark Chen (W'11), has 10 years of brand management and digital marketing experience at leading consumer-packaged goods companies like Unilever, B&G Foods, and Condé Nast with direct brand experience on high visibility +$400 million revenue brands such as Green Giant and Country Crock. She has end-to-end experience across all branded manufacturer workstreams from new product development and pre-launch planning through to market building (digital marketing, advertising, etc.), execution, and results measurement.

Diana has proven new product commercialization success in the food space for Green Giant where she led the launch of 15 new products from idea to launch in 6 months (vs. 18 month industry average), which collectively generated $100MM in sales in year 1, driving +31.5% growth in Total Company Revenue (+$300mm revenue) over the prior year.

Diana earned her Bachelor of Science in Economics from The Wharton School of Business, University of Pennsylvania, majoring in Marketing and Management. She also has a strong passion for food, fitness, and healthy eating.

*Bubble tea is a tea-based drink mixed with milk or fruit and chewy tapioca balls. The problem with bubble tea is that it can be high in calories and sugar, and it can be inconvenient to get at the store or make at home.
