The Business Development Group program exists to create purposeful, focused groups of Wharton alumni from diverse industries who actively and intentionally refer business to other members.

 
Business Development Group Description:
The Business Development Group program exists to create purposeful, focused groups of Wharton alumni from diverse industries who actively and intentionally refer business to other members. 

Responsibilities:
Responsible for securing locations for each meeting by coordinating with Club Administrator.  Facilitating each meeting following the pattern and format provided by the Club.  Communication with the Coordinator on behalf of the group.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone who sees the value of networking and wants to take on a more active role in the clubs efforts to enhance the experience of our Business Development Group program members.

Time Commitment:
Approximately 4 – 8 hours a month, including meetings, meeting preparation and group communication.  Must be willing to communicate with group members as well as potential group members via phone and/or email.

Qualifications:
Must be comfortable leading a group, or be willing to learn.  Strong people skills; must enjoy interacting with others.  Must be organized and able to keep a meeting running on schedule.  Willing to communicate in a proactive and cooperative effort for the benefit of the overall program.

Application Process:
Interested volunteers should complete the volunteer application and submit a resume to Gabriela Sanchez, the Club’s Administrator at gsanchez@whartonny.com.  Once the submission is received, the applicant will be contacted by one of the Club’s volunteers. The Club expects that each selected volunteer will treat this volunteer "job" as seriously as a professional job and recognize that it is an extension of his or her professional world.
