Allen J. Levinson (W'77 WG'78)
Allen J. Levinson is a founder, Principal, and COO of Credit Risk Advisors, LP, an investment advisory firm founded in 2002. As Chief Operating Officer, Allen focuses on institutional investor relations, management of CRA's investment products, and designing investment strategy. Prior to founding CRA, from 1999 to 2002, Allen was Managing Director for Marketing at KMV, the leading producer of quantitative models designed for the management of corporate credit risk. In early 2002, KMV was acquired by Moody's Investor Services, and is now known as Moody's KMV. For the five years prior to joining KMV, Allen headed the Fixed Income Industry Resource Group at Goldman, Sachs & Co., where he focused on development of strategic transactions designed to meet the risk management needs of insurance companies, banks, and other financial institutions. Prior to joining Goldman Sachs, Allen was a Managing Director at Bankers Trust where he held a variety of senior management positions over a 15-year career including Global Loan Portfolio Manager and Chief of Staff for Corporate Finance. Earlier in his career at Bankers Trust, Allen held sales, trading, sales management, and proprietary trading management positions in the fixed income and derivatives markets. While at Goldman Sachs and at Bankers Trust, Allen was involved in a number of pioneering transactions involving securitization of corporate credit risk, and the use of credit derivatives. Allen holds BS and MBA degrees from the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania, where he has served on the Dean's Advisory Board. Allen is a former Vice-Chairman and current member of the Board of the Wharton Alumni Club of New York.
