What is the Wharton Hedge Fund Network?
The Wharton Hedge Fund Network (WHFN) was founded in 2005 as an Affinity Group of the Wharton Club of New York (WCNY). The group aims to bring together Wharton alumni active in the greater hedge fund community, which includes professionals working at hedge funds, hedge fund allocators, prime brokers, lawyers, accountants, and other service providers active in the hedge fund space.

What is the Next Event?
The 1st event of 2011 year features a keynote by David Einhorn, founder of Greenlight Capital, a long/short equity hedge fund with ~ $8 billion of AUM. He will discuss the new edition of his book “Fooling Some of the People All of the Time” which is the story of his short position in Allied Capital. David’s prepared remarks will be followed by Q&A where he can discuss his current views on the market and hedge fund industry.
The event will be held Tuesday, February 8th at a Midtown location. (The exact location will be communicated shortly after signing up.) We will not be able to permit walk-ins, replacements or guests.
The itinerary is:
6.00 - 6.40pm: Registration with food and drinks,
6.40 - 6.45pm: Opening remarks and welcome,
6.45 - 7.30pm: David Einhorn
7.30pm - close: Networking with food and drinks.
$70 for WHFN members (WHFN membership is free of charge and solely based on eligibility)
$40 for WHFN members who pay WCNY membership dues (WCNY basic membership costs $95/yr Join/Renew Membership.
How to Request an Invitation to Sign Up for the Event?
Please send us at email@example.com: 1) your Wharton graduation year(s), 2) a short two-liner about your activity in the hedge fund space, 3) your professional contact information, and 4) your personal email address to keep in touch throughout your career. Those that qualify for WHFN will receive an invitation to sign up for the event.
