What is the Wharton Hedge Fund Network?

The Wharton Hedge Fund Network (WHFN) was founded in 2005 as an Affinity Group of the Wharton Club of New York (WCNY). The group aims to bring together Wharton alumni active in the greater hedge fund community, which includes professionals working at hedge funds, hedge fund allocators, and dedicated service providers.

Events are by invitation only and limited to Wharton undergraduates and/or Wharton MBA's who are employed in the hedge fund space. For more information on WHFN and past events, please visit the Wharton Hedge Fund Network page.

What is the Next Event?
The 3rd event of 2012 features Howard Schilit, an international leader in forensic accounting and corporate governance. Schilit is the author of Financial Shenigans, recognized as one of the most popular books on forensic accounting. He is the founder of the FSD Group, LLC and the Financial Shenanigans Detection Group (FSDG). Schilit will give an overview on how to spot when companies manipulate their earnings and cash flow and then take Q&A.

The event will be held Wednesday, July 18th at a Midtown location. (The exact location will be communicated shortly after signing up.) We will not be able to permit walk-ins, replacements or guests.

The itinerary is:
6:00 - 6:40pm: Registration with food and drinks
6:40 - 6:45pm: Opening remarks and welcome
6:45 - 7:15pm: Keynote by Dr. Howard M. Schilit
