Carol Vinelli

Carol Vinelli is an executive coach who helps professionals harness their strengths and skills to make the most of their careers and personal lives.  She brings to this work over 30 years of business successes as an entrepreneur, sales executive, and for the past 10 years, an executive coach specializing in work place challenges.

Combining a “roll-up-your sleeves” approach with a “get-it-done attitude,” Carol helps her clients sharpen their focus, set goals, and map out action plans that lead to measurable improvements in their work and home life

Among her strengths is her ability to help her clients understand their underlying values that form their world view and how these affect the way they interact with others.  Through this process, and the customized coaching plan she develops, her clients learn how to become more effective in their work and their dealings with others, making them more skilled, more confident, and more productive at what they do

Carol’s clients include business executives, with whom she works privately to help advance their careers within their organizations or at other companies.  She also works with major organizations on team building.

Carol received her coaching certification from iPEC (Institute of Professional Empowerment Coaching) and is also trained in EI (emotional intelligence.)

Carol has a BA from NYU, with double majors in Psychology and History, and an MBA from Rutgers University, with an emphasis on Marketing and Finance.

Carol’s broad interests and love of adventure have taken her around the globe.  While living in San Paulo, Brazil, she established two new businesses.  One was a conversation skills course for Brazilian businessmen in private companies, which became an instant success with over 40 employees in less than 12 months.  At the same time, Carol’s love of art led her to establish a consulting service for young artists.  She acted as a mentor and coach, teaching self-confidence and marketing skills to many who never believed they could earn their living pursuing their passion.  She succeeded at both ventures even though she was a new comer to Brazil and had only limited knowledge of the local language and culture when she first arrived

As Vice President of Sales for a contract furniture firm, Carol’s efforts helped the company recognize over $70 million in sales over eight years while achieving a client retention rate of over 90%.  During this time, she also taught many young designers and architects how to expand their businesses and become more profitable.

In addition to business pursuits, Carol has facilitated a monthly networking leads luncheon group for the past 5 years for the Wharton Club NY. She has also presented workshops on work place challenges, such as bad bosses, managing your boss, and getting promoted for the Wharton Career Management Series.

Dedicated to helping entrepreneurs thrive, Carol has also volunteered at WIBO (Workshops in Business Opportunites) a Not for Profit organization, that helps entrepreneurs learn how to launch to their own businesses.  She taught the course section on sales and marketing and also facilitated groups for WIBO graduates on discovering how to differentiate themselves from their competitors.

She has spoken several times at the Penn Club of New York, Fordham University, NYIT, and FENG.
