Join the Wharton Entrepreneurs Education and Resource Network for our next event, Wednesday, March 13th, 6:30-9:00PM for a discussion about fundraising from the perspective of two seasoned entrepreneurs.  We will talk about what it takes to successfully raise capital from top angels and VC's, how to manage the process, associated expectations, and key do's and don't's.  As always our discussion will be driven by your questions, so bring those (even if not about fundraising).

Our two panelists are:

Steven Cohn is a multiple time entrepreneur.  His first start-up was acquired by LivingSocial in 2009 and became its Daily Deals product that took the company from $3 million in revenue to over $550 million in 2012.  He is now working on ProdThink, a communication platform between product teams and customers.  ProdThink just launched its MVP and the team is actively signing up customers and iterating.  Steven is also an alumni of DoubleClick, Quantcast and Harvard Business School.

Evan Schwartz is the CEO and founder of ActionX, a mobile customer acquisition platform. Prior to founding ActionX, Evan was the CEO and co-founder of Thumbplay where he acquired more than 5 million mobile customers for the mobile entertainment service and sold the business to Clear Channel in 2011. Evan was SVP of Online for Columbia House and part of the start-up team at the pioneering ecommerce site CDnow. Evan graduated from the University of Pennsylvania. He lives in Brooklyn with his wife and two children.

Membership is limited to those that both: 1) are Wharton undergrad or Wharton MBA alumni and 2) are or were actively (a) pursuing an entrepreneurial venture or (b) serving as an advisor/financing source for entrepreneurial ventures. Membership is not open to vendors at this time.
