Robert J. Chalfin CPA, JD

Robert J. Chalfin is the CEO of The Chalfin Group Inc., a Metuchen, New Jerseybased firm that provides advisory services in connection with the purchase and sale of closely held businesses, strategic planning, and valuation. The firm also provides economic damage calculations.

Mr. Chalfin is an Attorney, CPA, and a Lecturer in Management at The Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania. He teaches graduate-level courses on acquiring closely held businesses and venture initiation to MBA candidates.

Bob is the author of the book, Selling Your IT Business: Valuation, Finding the Right Buyer, and Negotiating the Deal, published by John Wiley & Sons, Inc. (2006).

Mr. Chalfin has served as a Court-appointed receiver, administrator, fiscal agent, and valuation expert. He was cited in The Best Lawyers in America Directory of Experts as an expert in the area of business valuation, New Jersey Super Lawyers in the area of closely held business, and in New Jersey’s Top Rated Lawyers in the area of business and commercial. He was the recipient of the 2009 Middlesex County Bar Association Non-Litigation Attorney Award. He has served on the Board of Directors of several corporate and non-profit entitites.

In addition to being an avid fan, Bob owns minority interests in two minor league baseball teams.
