Sahm Adrangi

Managing Partner, Kerrisdale Capital Management

Sahm Adrangi is the founder and managing partner of Kerrisdale Capital Management, a fundamentally-oriented investment manager that focuses on long-term value investments as well as catalyst, event-driven special situations.

Most known for short selling and publishing research, Mr. Adrangi first made a name for himself shorting Chinese companies and has since broadened his approach to invest in longs and other sectors. His firm Kerrisdale Capital prioritizes publication for under-followed longs and overhyped shorts where it feels Kerrisdale can add value by correcting misunderstandings and educating the investment community. The firm publishes its research on its website and third-party sites, and through its Twitter account @kerrisdalecap.

Mr. Adrangi started his financial career in credit – performing high-yield debt refinancings and post-bankruptcy refinancings at Deutsche Bank, as well as advising creditor committees in bankruptcy and out-of-court restructuring situations at Chanin Capital Partners. Subsequent to his investment banking experience, Mr. Adrangi spent several years at a multi-billion-dollar distressed debt hedge fund, Longacre Management. He holds a Bachelor of Arts in Economics from Yale University.
