WCNY Arts Network (WhAN) Membership Meeting

Affinity Group

The Wharton Arts Network (WhAN) is pleased to announce its upcoming Membership meeting on Wednesday, April 13th from 6-8 PM.

During this meeting we will discuss the organization and mission/goals of the group, our upcoming Inaugural Event scheduled for May 4, other future events in the pipeline and ways in which new members can get involved.

About WhAN
Launched in the summer of 2015, WhAN is an affinity group designed to provide Wharton alumni engaged in the arts with opportunities for networking and professional development as well as a forum to examine trends, challenges and thought leadership in areas impacting this field.

WhAN is currently led by a five-member Executive Board:  Neil Blumstein W'78, Tricia Taitt W'00, Jill Krutick W'84, Linda Plattus W’85, and Takashi Yoshizaki WG10.

We are actively building WhAN’s member base of alumni working in the arts, including a core group of members who want to play a more active role to help organize meetings and events.

We are defining the “arts” in a very broad sense-to include the visual arts, applied arts, performing arts, literary arts, media arts and culinary arts-and in this way to be as inclusive as possible so as to attract alumni working in many different industries. WhAN may in the future create affinity sub-groups tailored to the needs, interests and challenges of specific categories.

WhAN provides a forum for members to discuss specific needs and interests that will drive the event and speaker schedule.  We will provide a forum to explore best practices, hear from industry leaders on a range of issues, as well as networking and personal development.

WhAN is a great opportunity to build your network and knowledge within the arts field. If you would like to be involved, please come to the April 13 meeting or contact WhAN@whartonny.com.
