Jason Horowitz - Bio

General Counsel, Wheels Up

Jason Horowitz sees the world through an entrepreneurial lens. Each endeavor he takes on becomes an opportunity for growth and positive change.

In his current expansive role as General Counsel at Wheels Up, a revolutionary membership-based and tech-enabled private aviation company, Jason presides over financings, acquisitions, and operational legal matters. Jason’s legal responsibilities are supplemented with a daily and active role in building and managing a rapidly growing infrastructure, which includes participation in business development, marketing, hiring and organizational operations, as well as oversight of the company’s technology endeavors. He’s proud to have helped shape Wheels Up from concept on a napkin to industry leader in just a few short years.

Before Wheels Up, Jason spent eleven years working as in-house counsel to companies like SFX Entertainment and CKX, focusing on equity and debt financings, business development, and mergers and acquisitions. During this time, he realized how much he thrived in innovative, energetic environments, and he sought work that matched his passion.

Jason serves on the Civilian Leadership Council of Iraq and Afghanistan Veterans of America (IAVA), and he’s the founding Chairman and current Vice Chairman of the Compass Charter School in Brooklyn.

He holds a B.A. in American history from the University of Pennsylvania, and he earned his J.D. from Fordham University School of Law, where he sits on the Entrepreneur Law Council and serves as a guest lecturer.

He lives in Westchester County with his wife Allison and daughters Ella and Zoe.
