Wharton Hedge Fund Network : Emerging Markets
WHFN Organizing Committee
What is the WHFN New York?
The Wharton Hedge Fund Network (WHFN New York) was founded in 2005 as an affinity group of the Wharton Club of New York. The group aims to bring together Whartonites active in the greater hedge fund community, which includes professionals working at hedge funds, hedge fund allocators, lawyers, accountants, prime brokers and other service providers active in the hedge fund space.
Events are by invitation only and limited to Wharton undergraduates and/or Wharton MBA's who are employed in the hedge fund space. (We do not permit attendance of Wharton alumni who are actively looking to find a job in the space, as we want to keep events from being overrun by job-seekers.)
What is the Next Event?
Our next event will feature Rio de Janeiro, Brazil based Polo Capital Management, who will speak to us on considerations for investing in an exciting growth area, namely the Latin American market place.
The event will be held on Wednesday, June 15, 2005 at a midtown location. (The exact location will be communicated upon signing up.)
The itinerary is:
6.30 - 6.55: Registration,
6.55 - 7.00: Opening remarks and welcome,
7.00 - 7.20: Rio de Janeiro, Brazil based Polo Capital Management,
7.20 - to close: Networking with food and drinks.
Costs are $20 for WCNY members, recent grads and current students, and $50 for Wharton grads who aren't yet WCNY members. (Year-long membership is only $95 at whartonny.com ). We will not be able to permit walk-ins.
How to Sign Up for the Event?
Please send us a short two-liner at firstname.lastname@example.org, about your current activity in the hedge fund space if you wish to be invited. We will get back to you on the status of your request within 48 hours.
