Wharton Club of New York Equality Task Force

June 3, 2020

A call to action for Wharton alumni to join a volunteer task force that focuses on making a tangible impact in ending racism and discrimination in our work place and communities.

The Wharton Club of New York (WCNY) represents the largest group of Wharton alumni on this planet with about 30,000 alumni in the New York metropolitan area. As business leaders, our imprint on the businesses we touch is vast. We embrace diversity and inclusion not only because it makes good business sense to do so, but also because it is the right thing to do.

Racism, social injustice, and discrimination remain within our society and within the business community at large. WCNY is committed to clearly making a stand in supporting fair and humane treatment, and equal opportunity for every human being, no matter one’s skin color, ethnicity, or race.

Acknowledging the problem and making a stand are insufficient. Today, we ask fellow Wharton alumni to take action in working with business leaders to speed the process of ending systemic racism and discrimination in our workplaces and our communities. Join us and be a part of a WCNY volunteer task force to address racism and discrimination.

If you are interested in making a difference by participating in the task force, please respond to me at regina@whartonny.net. We want to hear your actionable ideas to inform the efforts of our task force that drives tangible change.
