Singles Connections Committee:
This committee will be responsible for identifying, facilitating, and promoting high-quality singles events and related dating services for interested members of the Wharton Club of NYC Alumni network. This opportunity is perfect for a person who loves to socialize and help connect others. Whether it’s singles mixers, matchmaking services or dating coaching, our club is looking to offer our single members opportunities to meet new people and build their relationship skills.

Volunteer Responsibilities:

• Help identify and select a pool of Wharton Alumni volunteers to work on the committee
• Field incoming inquiries from organizations or alumni interested in hosting/including our club members in their events or offering our members related services
• Independently identify social opportunities and services for our members including singles mixers, matchmakers, and dating coaches
• Hold monthly meetings to keep the committee in discussion, connected and productive
• Help determine which opportunities are club-sponsored and which are posted to the alumni site; Oversee Wharton Club-sponsored singles events and ensure that we have volunteers in attendance
• Create and manage sub-committees if deemed necessary
• Draft communications and online postings for any club sponsored events and opportunities
• Meet monthly with VP of Personal Development to share updates and maintain periodic communications about the addition/discontinuation of relationships with organizations, events, issues that arise etc
• Time commitment for this position would be around 1-2 hours per week (including meetings, administration and attendance at events)

Qualifications:

• Current membership in the Wharton Club of New York
• Possess a true passion for socializing and connecting others
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Highly responsible person preferably with experience planning, promoting and executing social events
• Adherence to Club policies as evidenced by signing an annual acknowledgement form
• A commitment to treat this volunteer “job” with professionalism and a dedicated sense of responsibility
