About the Family Resources Group:
This group is designed to offer resources to address diverse needs ranging from young families to those in the sandwich generation with responsibilities for young adults as well as caring for aging parents. We will offer educational events and create communities among members around needs such as:
  • Parenting Tips & Strategies:  Discussion fostering positive relationships with kids, and navigating different stages of a child’s development
  • Technology and Media Usage:  Best Practices on screen time limits, and navigating digital usage that promotes healthy habits and relationships
  • Financial Planning:  Advice on budgeting, saving for house, college & retirement, investing, and risk mitigation via disability & life insurance, proper titling of assets, trust and estate planning
  • Education:  Information on public & private school options in NYC, and college admissions process & counseling services
  • Caretaking Aging Parents:  Provide resources on healthcare, living arrangement, financial planning and emotional caretaking for aging parents
  • Special Needs Children:  Education on how to spot early signs of needs & resources to support children
  • Balance & Selfcare:  Strategies for managing stress and maintain mental well-being of self
