About the Speakers:
Samir Pandri, Region head Americas, British Isles, Ireland and Luxembourg at TMF Group, is responsible for the strategic growth of the Americas, British Isles and Luxembourg region. As well as bringing strong experience to his regional role, Samir also brings deep expertise in funds and capital markets services, supporting TMF Group's continued drive to build a world-class platform for these sectors. Samir has previously held leadership positions within global financial services, with the Bank of New York Mellon Corporation (BNY), JP Morgan Chase, Broadridge and Apex Group. He has a bachelor’s and master’s in chemical engineering from Colombia Engineering, plus an MBA from the Columbia Business School, he is also a Board member of the State Investment Council (SIC).
Romain Dambre, advises public and private companies, as well as financial sponsors and their portfolio companies, on a wide range of domestic and cross-border transactions, including acquisitions, leveraged buyouts, take-privates, divestitures, carve-outs, joint ventures, equity financings and corporate restructurings. Romain has advised clients on numerous significant matters, totaling over USD250 billion in value. He has been recommended by Legal 500 for U.S. M&A: large deals (USD1bn+), and for U.S. private equity buyouts: middle-market (up to USD500m), with clients noting that Romain “impresses with his ’out of the box solutions’ in leveraged buyouts and carve-outs”. Lee Ellen Spelman Doty (W'76), Managing Director, is the Vice Chair of Global Equities for J.P, Morgan Asset Management. Previously, she was the Head of U.S. Equity for eight years, responsible for over $700 billion in client assets invested across Core, Value and Growth portfolios. An employee since 1989, Lee started her career at the firm as a research analyst covering the technology sector. She also led the client team for a decade, with a focus on institutional and advisor distribution. Prior to J.P. Morgan, Lee was the Director of Research at Martin Simpson & Co, a research boutique specializing in technology and health care research. Lee holds a B.S. in economics from the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania and is a CFA charter holder. She has been a trustee of the University of Pennsylvania since 2003.
