Media & Entertainment Group Goals
The Wharton Media & Entertainment Group (WMEG) is an Affinity Group of the Wharton Club of New York (WCNY). The group's goal is to bring together Wharton alumni currently working in the media and entertainment industry to increase their business knowledge, expand their networks within the industry, and actively support each other's business and personal career goals.

Who Is Membership Open to?
WMEG membership is available to paid supporting members of the Wharton Club of New York and solely based on eligibility. Membership is limited to Wharton undergraduates and/or Wharton MBA alumni who are employed in or specialize in servicing the media and entertainment sector. We do not permit attendance of Wharton alumni who are actively looking to break into the space. Please send us a short two-liner at WMEG@whartonny.com, about your current activity in the media and entertainment sector and your Wharton graduation year(s) if you wish to be invited to join the network and be invited to its events. We will get back to you on the status of your request within two business days.

What Are the Benefits of Membership?
WMEG members represent all key sectors of the industry including new media, film, television, publishing, music, licensing, and other related segments from the content, distribution and investment sides. Wharton's strong presence in the industry is exemplified by the professionals who attend our events, representing both industry leading companies as well as cutting-edge new ventures. These relationships are central to the value of being a WMEG member. The group also includes the Wharton Digital Working Group and partners regularly with the Wharton School Media & Entertainment Initiative, as well as with the Wharton Club of Southern California and other regional Wharton alumni M&E Networks.

Events are by invitation only and limited to WMEG members. We are not able to permit walk-ins, replacements or guests. WMEG members must have a paid Wharton Club of New York (WCNY) membership. to attend Network meetings and events. For more information on WNCY membership, see Join/Renew Membership.

What Activities Does the Affinity Group Have to Support Its Goals?
WMEG will alternatively host a wide range of events, featuring speakers from across the industry, as well as a regular M&E Council where members meet to network and support each other's business and career interests.
