What is the Wharton Hedge Fund Network?
The Wharton Hedge Fund Network (WHFN) was founded in 2005 as an Affinity Group of the Wharton Club of New York (WCNY). The group aims to bring together Wharton alumni active in the greater hedge fund community, which includes professionals working at hedge funds, hedge fund allocators, prime brokers, lawyers, accountants, and other service providers active in the hedge fund space.
Events are by invitation only and limited to Wharton undergraduates and/or Wharton MBA's who are employed in the hedge fund space.

What is the Next Event?
The 16th event features keynote speaker Marc Lasry, Founder & Managing Partner of Avenue Capital Group, a $13.3B hedge fund focused on distressed and undervalued credit-related securities, bank loans, trade claims and private investments with offices in New York, London, Luxembourg, and eight offices throughout Asia.
The event will be held Tuesday, July 24, 2007 at a Midtown location. (The exact location will be communicated shortly after signing up.) We will not be able to permit walk-ins, replacements or guests.
The itinerary is:
6.00 - 6.40pm: Registration with food and drinks,
6.40 - 6.45pm: Opening remarks and welcome,
6.45 - 7.30pm: Marc Lasry, Founder & Managing Partner, Avenue Capital Group
7.30 - close: Networking with food and drinks.
$50 for WHFN members,
$50 for WHFN students,
$20 for WHFN members that have a paid WCNY membership,
Note: 12-months WCNY membership is only $95 at Join/Renew Membership. .
