Wharton Hedge Fund Network: Carbon Credit Trading
WHFN Organizing Committee
What is the Wharton Hedge Fund Network?
The Wharton Hedge Fund Network (WHFN) was founded in 2005 as an Affinity Group of the Wharton Club of New York (WCNY). The group aims to bring together Wharton alumni active in the greater hedge fund community, which includes professionals working at hedge funds, hedge fund allocators, prime brokers, lawyers, accountants, and other service providers active in the hedge fund space.
Events are by invitation only and limited to Wharton undergraduates and/or Wharton MBA's who are employed in the hedge fund space.
For more information on WHFN and past events, please visit the Wharton Hedge Fund Network page.
What is the Next Event?
The 19th event features an overview of carbon credit trading, presented by Richard Sandor, Chairman and CEO of the Chicago Climate Exchange (CCX). Sandor is known as the father of financial futures and was honored by Time Magazine as one of its “Heroes for the Planet” for his work as the founder of the CCX. The CCX, launched in 2003, is the world’s first and North America’s only active voluntary, legally binding integrated trading system to reduce emissions of all six major greenhouse gases (GHGs), with offset projects worldwide.
