What is the Wharton Hedge Fund Network?
The Wharton Hedge Fund Network (WHFN) was founded in 2005 as an Affinity Group of the Wharton Club of New York (WCNY). The group aims to bring together Wharton alumni active in the greater hedge fund community, which includes professionals working at hedge funds, hedge fund allocators, and dedicated service providers.

Events are by invitation only and limited to Wharton undergraduates and/or Wharton MBA's who are employed in the hedge fund space. For more information on WHFN and past events, please visit the Wharton Hedge Fund Network page.

What is the Next Event?
Our third event of the year and 53rd event in WHFN’s history, “The China Macro Outlook,” will feature a panel hosted by two China-focused investment professionals and moderated by Barclays. The panel will discuss questions such as:
  • What are bulls and bears on China getting right or wrong today?
  • Will the Chinese government be successful in supporting its equity markets?
  • Is there a systemic debt problem in China?
Panelists will include:
  • Evan Lorenz, Analyst, Grant’s Interest Rate Observer
  • Katy Chih, China Specialist, Caravel Asset Management
  • Ajay Rajadhyaksha, Co-Head of Global FICC Research, Barclays
  • Soon Lee, Portfolio Manager, Visium Asset Management
  • Frank Byrd (Moderator), Founder, Fielder Capital Group LLC
The event will be held Monday, October 5th at a Midtown location. (The exact location will be communicated shortly after signing up.) We will not be able to permit walk-ins, replacements or guests.

The itinerary is:
6.00 - 6.25pm: Registration with food and drinks
6.25 - 6.30pm: Opening remarks and welcome
6.30 - 7.30pm: Panel on China Macro Outlook
7.30pm - close: Networking with food and drinks
