WHFN: Multi-Manager Hedge Fund Panel
Michael Englander, currently runs Millennium’s Phenom program for manager development. Michael has been with Millennium Partners and related entities since 2003 in both the fixed income and equity businesses. Having served the firm as an analyst and PM, Michael has direct understanding of the challenges analysts and junior PMs face in developing their career paths and has created Phenom in response. Prior to Millennium, Michael held analyst positions at Hite Capital Mgmt, Commerzbank and Constellation Capital. Michael has a MBA and MS in Operations Research from Columbia University and BAs in Economics and International Relations from Stanford University.
Christophe Khaw is the chief investment strategist for 1798. 1798 is the $4bn hedge fund platform of Lombard Odier Asset Management. In his role, he determines the strategic investment priorities and drives the portfolio manager recruitment process. Prior to joining Lombard Odier in 2007, Christophe was a founding partner and head of research for Calibria Financial Services, a hedge fund boutique running $1bn in Geneva. Prior to founding Calibria in 2003, he was running a diversified fund of fund for JP Morgan in New York and heading long/short research. He joined JP Morgan from Procter & Gamble in 1997. He holds a MSc. In applied mathematics from the University of Geneva.
Robert Kim is Chief Investment Officer of AB Arya Partners Group. Kim joined AB in 2016 as a founding member and Chief Investment Officer of the AB Arya Partners Group. Previously, he served as director of research at Visium Asset Management, and ran the fundamental equity long/short team for Royal Bank of Canada. Before that, Kim was a portfolio manager at SAC Capital Advisors, Soros Fund Management, GLG Partners and Millennium Partners. During his career, he also founded Cydonia Capital and was a senior analyst at Moore Capital Management. Kim holds a BS in chemistry from The Georgia Institute of Technology.

Betty Gee is Managing Director, US Head of Strategic Consulting at Barclays. Ms. Gee is responsible for managing the US Strategic Consulting team. Ms. Gee joined Barclays in 2016 from BlackRock, where she served in various roles including Chief Marketing Officer and Interim Chief Operating Officer for the global Financial Markets Advisory business. Prior to that, Ms. Gee was also a portfolio research analyst at Serengeti Asset Management and a consultant at McKinsey & Company.
Ms. Gee was recognized as one of ‘50 Leading Women in Hedge Funds’ in 2017 by The Hedge Fund Journal and EY, and is the recipient of the 2017 Women in Finance award for ‘Excellence in Consulting’. She holds a JD from Harvard Law School and a BA from Yale University.
