We invite you to join the next meeting of the WCNY Retail Investor Affinity Group (WRIG).  WRIG is not a group for professional investors who manage/invest funds for clients but rather for the non professional individual investor, using their own funds to invest in Securities, Mutual Funds or ETFs on their own and would like to meet and talk to others who do the same.  While participants should have some experience trading securities, mutual funds and/or ETFs, there is no minimum amount or timeframe required to participate.

On Tuesday, February 8, 2022, Mr. Tomas Claro will be speaking at the monthly internal meeting of the Wharton Retail Investors Affinity Group.

Tomas Claro is a professional trader and the CEO and founder of Araucaria Investments - a Chicago Based Hedge-Fund funded in 2019 with investments in public and private markets.

Mr. Claro worked for 13 years in sales & trading at some of the most important financial institutions in Chile. After that, he decided to move to Chicago where he earned an MBA from the University of Chicago Booth School of Business and founded Araucaria Investments. In 2020, Mr. Claro joined the U.S. Investing Championship where he finished 2nd with a 497% annualized return.

Mr. Claro is also a successful entrepreneur and angel investor and an avid NFT Collector. He will talk with us about how he managed his portfolio through the 2020 crisis and into today's markets.
