Our next event is part two of a three-part series in which Ross Klenoff (W’94), Chair of WE-EARN, will distill some of the key legal issues entrepreneurs face.

Ross practiced corporate law for over a decade at some of the top law firms in New York City before launching his own practice. He regularly works with entrepreneurs and emerging growth companies in a wide range of corporate transactions.

In part one, a previous event, Ross covered:
  • Leaving your job
  • Working with an attorney
  • Forms of business (and when to consider them)
In part two (i.e., this event), Ross will cover:
  • Formation of a corporation and structuring ownership (from inception through VC financing)
In part three (scheduled Thu, Feb 9), Ross will cover:
  • Raising money
  • Securities laws
  • Early-stage financings, including convertible notes, SAFE’s and seed rounds
If you’re an entrepreneur, Legal Bootcamp for Entrepreneurs is a fantastic opportunity to get an overview of the key legal issues you can expect to face from the “idea phase” through your first VC financing.

As always, there will be opportunities for your questions.

Please contact us with any questions at weearn@whartonny.com. We look forward to seeing you there!
