What is the Wharton Hedge Fund Network?
The Wharton Hedge Fund Network (WHFN) was founded in 2005 as an Affinity Group of the Wharton Club of New York (WCNY). The group aims to bring together Wharton alumni active in the greater hedge fund community, which includes professionals working at hedge funds, hedge fund allocators, and dedicated service providers.

Events are by invitation only and limited to Wharton undergraduates and/or Wharton MBA's who are employed in the hedge fund space. For more information on WHFN and past events, please visit the  Wharton Hedge Fund Network page.

What is the Next Event?
Our next event features Peter Ammon, CIO of UPenn, in a fireside chat with Darren Levy (WH'98), Morgan Stanley’s Head of Prime Brokerage in the US. Peter will discuss the UPenn Office of Investments perspectives on the hedge fund industry and where he sees investment opportunities.

The event will be held Tuesday, December 12th, at a Midtown location. (The exact location will be communicated shortly after signing up.)

Peter Ammon Bio
Peter serves as Chief Investment Officer for the University of Pennsylvania.. Prior to joining Penn in 2013, he worked at the Yale University Investments Office. At Yale, Peter was also a Senior Faculty Fellow at the Yale School of Management, where he co-taught a class on endowment management. Prior to his time at Yale, Peter worked at the Princeton University Investment Company.
Peter serves on several investment committees, including as chair of The Chan Zuckerberg Initiative’s investment advisory committee. He holds an AB in Politics from Princeton, an MA in International Relations from Yale University, and an MBA from Yale University.

Darren Levy Bio
Darren Levy joined Morgan Stanley in 2004 and is a Managing Director and Head of the Prime Brokerage business in the Americas. Prior to this role, Darren was head of the Capital Introductions group in the Americas where he spent 15 years on that team. Before joining Morgan Stanley, Darren spent over three years at Ziff Brothers Investments, a New-York based, multi-billion dollar hedge fund where he was one of the original members of the Investment Strategy Group. Prior to Ziff, Darren was an investment banking analyst at Donaldson, Lufkin & Jenrette and Furman Selz where he specialized in M&A and capital raising for the Healthcare and Technology sectors.

Darren is a 1998 graduate of the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania.
