Join the Wharton Health and Wellness Group (WHLTHCR) for a panel featuring senior leaders from two nationally recognized health systems: Tip Kim, WG ’97, Chief Market Development Officer of Stanford Health Care and Craig Konieczko, Senior Director of Brand at Northwell Health.

In this panel, we will discuss how health systems have evolved over time and what the future could look like as retail and digital health competitors try to disrupt the landscape of care delivery. With people expecting to live longer, age better and have access to wellness/proactive care, how can the health ecosystem respond with more flexible, customized, and human-centered solutions and what is the role of health systems in driving this change?

Key topics of discussion include:
  • The impact of increasing consumerism
  • The blurring of lines between wellness and primary care
  • Opportunities to address the demand for “better aging”
  • The value added by AI and digital technology
  • Roles in the health ecosystem
  • Advancing health equity
About the Speakers:
Tip Kim currently serves as Chief Market Development Officer for Stanford Health Care, responsible for care delivery strategy. Prior to transitioning to Stanford eight years ago, Tip was Managing Director and Partner, Leader of the Healthcare Services Practice at LEK Consulting where he spent 23 years. He and his physician wife are looking forward with mixed feelings toward being empty nesters as of this fall.

Craig Konieczko made a career transition from consulting to client-side when he left Interbrand’s healthcare strategy practice late last year and took on a new role overseeing brand operations at Northwell Health, the Northeast’s largest healthcare system and NYS’s largest employer. In this role, he’s orchestrating the interdependency of brand, business, and clinical operations, focusing on taking Northwell’s purpose-led, Masterbrand-first approach to new places by signaling the large non-profit’s intentions to grow through new commercial partnerships, JVs, and home-grown for-profit businesses.
